Dear myself,
I know you’re tired. Life shouldn’t be this hard on you. You deserve a better life. You’re smart. You’re knowledgeable. You’re caring. You don't want to hurt others.
You also need to not hurt yourself. Sometimes your mind tells you how you did everything wrong. It’s normal. That’s part of human evolution that makes your genes survive. You can just go back to good memories you had and intensify those feelings. If you can do this thing consistently, you’ll find yourselves better at being grateful. Being grateful is beautiful~
You did great today. Start small, you try to open up to people around you. You laugh at their jokes. You sit or stand near them. You listen attentively to their stories. It’s still an achievement, right? You accomplished your missions today. Be open and genuinely interested in people.
You finish some task about the report card. It is an achievement too. You don't need to be up late.
Here you are in the cafe, working alone but don't feel alone at all. You enjoy your own company, working on everything you could. That’s also something you need to feel grateful.
Look at that. The blue sky that you like. The beautiful lamps. The comfortable weather. These things deserved my attention. He’s brutal, but he is right.
Maybe, right. You can’t control feelings. It just pops out of your mind. But, you can control your attention. You can attentively look at the good things in your surroundings or recall good memories of your life. It is beautiful, isn’t it?
Look at this! You can even make these words. You think in English automatically. Argh, it’s good, Ditha! It helps you to broaden your perspective and makes your thinking clearer.
