The Power of Adjectives

Right now, I’m in a high-energy phase—my mind is active, and I want to use this moment to explore thoughts with you. But before we dive in, I’ve been thinking about how powerful adjectives are. They can be both good and bad because adjectives are the words we use to describe everything—whether it’s a person, a thing, or even an idea.

The way we label something, the adjectives we choose, they have a huge impact on our interactions and even our life. Like, if I think my boss is toxic, my mind will automatically find evidence—memories, actions, everything—that fits the idea that they’re toxic. And guess what? That makes everything feel stressful and overwhelming.

That’s why it’s so important to be conscious of the adjectives we use. Take how I describe myself, for example. When I say “I am highly blessed, powerful, and magnetic”—I’m deciding that’s who I am. That’s it. I act, think, and experience reality in a way that aligns with those words. My mind generates thoughts and memories that support this version of me, and I feel completely aligned with those adjectives. You get what I mean?
